I have an 87 fiero with locking lug nuts, but have no lug nut key...and need to get the tire off to change timing gasket (bad oil leak) Autozone doesn't have the key/tool. Where can I get one, and is there another way to get the tire off? Also is the lug nut key specific to each car, or interchangeable? Thanks for your help!

Find an old socket that is just too small and pound that sucker on to it.
Then you can use a ratchet.
Good luck.

See if your local dealer has one. Maybe they'll be nice and loan it to you. Worth a shot.

They make tools just for this, if you don't find the correct "key" to fit. I used to work in a tire shop, and we had a box with about 5 different sized "cones" with a reversed spiral in them, to use with an impact gun. I'm guessing most tire shops have a similar product Take all four off and replace with regular, or new ones with a key socket. You would be suprised how many people came in not even knowing they had locking lugnuts.....or hubcaps for that matter.

I had the same problem - I think I used a 1" socket and pounded it on - took the locks off without a problem.
