I want to replace the rusted clutch line on my 1986 4-cylinder 5-speed.

I found a source for it, but I'm not 100% sure that the part that they are recommending is the correct part. Please see the three photos showing the whole thing (about 84" or 7' long) along with the two connectors. Is this the correct part???

THANKS!!!!

i can't answer your question, but if the part is reasonably priced, and they also make lines for the v-6 cars... email the info to 2xess kresge1975@yahoo.com

he is having some issues with his clutch and i'm torn between boiling fluid or leaky line.

thanks!

Found out some more info on this:

Apparently there was a running change made to the line in 1986, because the clutch master cylinder was changed.

The first design of the clutch master cylinder (1984-86) was made of aluminum and had the line mount behind the reservoir cup. The GM part number for the line for this master cylinder is 14105603.

The second design of the clutch master cylinder (1986-88) was made of steel and had the line mount in front of the reservoir cup. The GM part number for the line for this master cylinder is 14105670.

Pricing info I found:

14105603 = dealers do not carry it and can not order it, but about $50 from vintageparts.org 1-877-846-8243

14105670 = dealers can get it for about $160, but not carried by vintageparts.org I was told that by vintageparts.org that they won't carry it till GM stops carrying it.

fierostore.com has one that they claim will fit all models (with minor modification) for $151.
