yes you need a plastic rivet gun i think harbor frieght has them.If you know any one at a ford dealership they use them all the time on the new trucks.

I use a standard rivet puller. Works just fine. They want a crap load of money for one of those special plastic pullers. I bought a standard pop rivet puller, removed the tips and it works perfect. Your choice

I used my buddies air riviter and put the pressure on my compressure down low and worked perfect.

I bought the rivet gun for plastic rivets at a local body shop supply store for $9.95. Don't buy the rivets from them or a dealership, they want way too much for them. I bought a few different sizes from NAPA for $10 for a bag of 20. The dealers and body shop supply places charge $0.50-$0.75 each!
