A good trunk light is getting harder and harder to find.
The locking tab outlined in blue breaks off.
Leaving us with this. 1

Find a old wiper blade that uses metal flat strips for support not than the cheap plastic backing.
cut (2) pieces about 1 1/4 inch off of one of the strips. And bend them like this
clamp a hacksaw blade in a vice
and cut a slit in to the light about 1/4 to 3/8 inch deep
the cut is indicated in the red box

Insert the (2) metal pieces in to both slits you made in the light.
They seem to stay there pretty good on their own but I will add a dab of glue.

Buddy,
I would bow to your camera but I don't see the photos. Somebody tell me if they are there.

this will be good. as it happens, the little tab on my trunk light is broken. the lens hangs half in, half out. i'm very much looking forward to the solution, and will happily wait a couple of days if needed..

that the secret ingredient in all my writeups.
look at my code 32 / solenoid thread and you'll see the same bottle before it was empty.

I think Buddy slips the Corona bottles into the photos because he is trying to get them to sponser him.

It can't hurt to try. They have to spend advertising money somewhere.

Nice write-up, BC. ...and nice idea, Todd.
My bookmarks folder seems to have a growing collection of articles by BuddyCraigg and/or Jazzman. Funny how that happens...

Excellent pictorial / writeup... bet the metal clips last a lot longer. Looking forward to trying this out, and to a nice, positive "click," instead of the usual "hope it doesn't break this time" feeling!
