Since the 2.8 is a standard 60* V6 and the 4.3 is basically a Small Block Chevy V8 missing 2 cylinders, I very much doubt that the parts will match up at all. I would be willing to bet that the heads are different on the 2 engines, so no lower intake plenum meant for one will work with the other. Honestly, I have never torn apart a 4.3 so I don't know for sure, but as I said, I have my doubts.

The 2.8L is a 60* V-6 and the 4.3L is a 90* V-6.
You can use the TBI from the 4.3L but you will need to buy an aftermarket intake from Edelbrock, Make an adapter plate, and buy an aftermarket ECM to control it. Even then you would need to upgrade the cam and do some onther work for it to use the large TBI unit.
So it's possible.
A 4-bbl carb would be easier or if you want a TBI, get the Edelbrock intake and the Holley 670cfm Pro-Jection set-up. It will bolt to the Edelbrock and has it's own tuneable control module.

Save your money and time, you can't really put a bigger TB on the 2.8 manifold and get any meaningful gains. Check out my post on hi-flo manifolds.

Very Interesting. I'll be anxious to hear about hp gains on your 2.8 turbo.

I have recently become a pretty big fan of the TBI systems because of their simplicity, durability and ease of tuning. On our most recent engine swap, I installed a Chevy truck TBI and re-used the Fiero engine management wiring harness and just re-pinned a few spots on the ECM connector and changed some of the engine sensor connectors. If it works on the Caddy, it will work on the v6. You could really get a great performing efi system very cheaply if you are creative with a schematic and soldering iron. The most expensive part was the new TBI fuel pump, the '747 ecm was $20 and the TBI with fuel lines was $40. If you use the Edelbrock intake with the TBI adapter with a 4.3 throttle body, you have the potential to move enough air to make some power.
