I would love to know the max fit in our little cars. I'm interested in getting some new seats, and would rather know if they'll fit before buying them, lol.

I measured my stock seats at 20" wide by 23" deep by 31" tall. You could go with a deeper seat and slightly taller, but not much wider. Even the stock seats rub against the center console. I found some that came in very close to the stock seats, they were 1/2" wider and about 4" taller. They were a squeeze to get in. I found my Monza brand ones on Ebay by looking for racing seats.
