I'm thinking about putting 16 inchers on my light blue 84 SE because I've read this is the best size for handling....plus it would inevitably be the lightest choice (as opposed to 17 or 18 inchers). The only problem is I really like how the larger diameters look on our cars...but if I could find some 16 inchers that would actually compliment the looks of the car.....I'd definately go that route. Anyone know of a goodlooking 16 incher for our cars??

I have some really nice 16" Enkei's but opt'd for 17's in the end. I still like the looks of the 16's over the 17's. They are for sale if you are interested: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/021274.html
16x7's or 16x8's with 225/50/16's should be a great choice. the 8" rims may need a 235/50/16 or even a 245/50/16
beretta GTZ rims always look good, and i believe they even made them in blue, but probably hard to find.
ive got chrysler sebring hardtop 16x6.5" rims on my 85GT and they look great, but the convertables dont use the same bolt pattern, the hardtops have the 5x100

try checking out team dynamics, I bought my wheels form them and they are pretty cheap for what you get... you can get them in all sorts of different colors too... I got the pro race 2's 16"x 7" and they only weigh 15 lbs a piece thats the same as a stock 14" rim and 5 lbs less than a stock 15" rim... they ended up being $135 a piece, after shipping my total was $595
As will_p mentioned, team dynamics are pretty good, my friend put them on his supra and he wasn't dissapointed. They're light and they come in a variety of sizes/offsets/widths.
I went with 16 inch gunmetal motegi mr7s. I'm not sure about the weight but I found them pretty cheap with tires on another forum. They came with Michelin Pilot 205/55/16 tires.
They look alright too:

If you want something that looks stock, but looks more aggressive, the 1996-1998 Pontiac Grand Am GTs had a set of 3-spoke aluminum wheels. They are 16" wheels.
Someone on here has them on their 84, I keep seeing it in their avatar picture...

I have no idea what our wheels look like, but if you'll send me some pics, I might be interested. blackramsfieros@aol.com

Go to tirerack.com. they have a red 85-87 se and you can click to try different sizes and styles of wheels to see how it looks. IMO, the notchback and fastback need different wheels and tire combos to look their best. The wheels and tires on my SE (BFG RWL T/As on Koenig rims) wouldnt look as good on my GT-I like the stock wheels with blackwalls just fine for that car.
These are my babies. Traded them for a set of 88 Lace wheels.
Are those prime wheels? i have a brand new set of those that haven't been stripped and pollished like yours. I like the polished look. was that a real pain in the ass, or did you get them that way?

You know its funny. I had completely forgotten about Tirerack.com as well. Before I had the Fiero I used to use it for long periods of time and just drool over the wheel combos.
