I have a set of Koni shocks that i got a little while back and tonight i pulled them out to take a look at what all the hype was about. So heres the question, How do you adjust them, I see that theres a arrow with a plus on one side and a arrow with a minus on the other. I turned them a couple times and i didnt really notice a difference to them. Did i do something wrong or is there some trick to this?? Or with age does the adjustability go to crap?? They seem to have a good amount of pressure to them. By the way they are from a 87...

Thanks for the help,
Jason

Fronts are adjusted by fully compressing and turning. You will feel the clicks. Rears are adjusted with knob, no need to compress them.

I had to call Koni when I got my shocks and ask how to adjust the fronts - they said that they get about 5 calls a day asking that exact question.

No. The fronts are shocks, which are "standard adjustable" while the rears are struts, which are "externally adjustable."

I talked to a koni tech and they told me the sports are the only externally adjustable struts/shocks they have. Now have you actually adjusted yours with the knob?

Here are some destructions: http://www.koni-na.com/adjustment.cfm

I have Koni's, front are the "compress and adjust" method mentioned by gusshotrod (direction for firmer/softer adjustment shown in link). Rears are adjusted using a small 'key' (or knob) that fits on top.....like wot Formula88 said.

Cheers
PK
