The problem was with or without the clutch to the floor, the car in gear it would still move forward, as if there was no clutch at all. At other times, i couldn't even put it into gear, i could only move sideways with the shifter.
well, tonight was fun
. We first bleed the clutch line and believe it or not, some air in our first try but that was all we got. Next, we started by attempting to get the slave cyclinder to move more then the inch it was doing. i would push down the clutch pedal and my father would put a pry bar in the slave cycylinder area and hold it open and man that really did help. We started with about an inch of the clutch pedal engaging, but once we did that, we got about 1/4 of the pedal to, i guess it just needed to be GIRKED around or something, lol. The car at this time iss on the jack stands by the way. So we tryed to really see if we made a differnece. we started the car put the clutch pedal to the floor, wheels are still turning in first gear.... Turns out we didnt win the battle yet. Next we then popped our heads down there in to have a look see near the pedals and what did we find? No leaks, but, the original pin hole for the clutch rod that Gordo was talking about was not being used, turns out the previous owner made a new hole roughly a quarter inch more towards the front of the car, so i was never getting all the pedal i could have. We disconnected the rod but it didnt have enough length there to get to where the orignil should of been. So we decided to build a custom plate going from this guys hole to our "new" hole we made on this plate to give the medal more push and man, i tell yah, that pedal now is the hardest thing to push in the world, lol. BUt we then turned the key to the ride, pushed down the clutch and long and behold.................the wheels stop turning. Thats what we wanted, but now i just have to deal with the hardest clutch to push in the world :P I really wish i had some picture to post for you guys and for anyone who runs across a simular problem, the plate we made was really custom work, good thing we have a cnc machine shop
Gordo: how have you been, i havent chatted with you in awhile
Thanks for the help guys
