The Fiero dosen't need additional downforce on the rear end.
It has a cast iron engine back there.

I want a functional wing and more stability when I go over 100+mph. The perfect wing would be 10" high with about 7-10 degrees of attack.

IMO, if you want better high-speed stability, you need to straighten out the airflow behind the rear window. The turbulence back there gets worse the faster you go. That turbulence does not help high-speed stability.

I also think it'll take more than just a spoiler to correct the problem.

You lost me do you mean something like a roof spoiler or a whale tail style wing? You're right it will take a few other aerodynamic improvements aside from a wing.

I mean a "barbecue grille" vent on the decklid and/or exhaust fans in the grates. You need to fill that void behind the rear window. The partial vacuum back there causes alot of the turbulence (and lift, and drag).

What about the lips on the ppg cars? Those are race cars and they only have lip spoilers, so a drag spoiler should do alot?

how does a choptop effect that low pressure area? how about a fastback choptop? how would the stock wing function then? just a few questions to think about for the future.

funny story, an old friend of mine had a 79 mustang GT fastback, spoiler delete, but he picked up a fiero spoiler from a junkyard and slapped it on, looks like its supposed to be there
