Just wondering if you can still buy Eagle GT2's? The best I could find was GT-HR's. I mainly stuck with Goodyear to keep my car near-stock.

im using the bf-goodrich geforce TA KDW's and if the radial TA's are remotely as good as teh KDW's then id go with them, ive never had a tire stick to the road wet or dry as good as the KDW's

I prefer BFGoodrich tires over Goodyear tires.
I have BFG's on all my vehicles now.

Thanks Doug

I had GT2's and liked them. I recently bought a car with GT2's on it that had been sitting for several years. I don't think they make GT2's anymore.

I'm a goodyear fan. I bought dunlop 8000 series recently. They hold the road nicely.

I've had BF goodrich tires in the past and they worked fine too.

I would only put goodyear gt tires on a car of someone I hate. might as well buy the tireshop no name specila, you;ll be getting a better tire.
Goodrich radial t/a's are not really made anymore either. they are available, but they are old stock. they were phenominal all weather tires, but I think I got them beat...
BFgoodrich Traction H's are absolutely unbelievable. they just stick. soo well, I actually shifted the top control arm adjustment bar stopping the car fast on a wet road! (they didn;t torque them fully, only went to 34, didn;t do the extra 1/6 turn)
so far, they haven't come close to complaining in any corners, and when I forced the rear to break loose with some application of power, they recovered and grabbed when I let off. that's something goodyear gt tires don't do, when they go, they're gone. they don't grab till you've almost stopped.
the traction series look to be a better spec of the radial t/a with a similar tread pattern.
in case you couldn;t tell, I am picky about rubber. I forced the dealer to change the tires on my wife's new highlander the day after I drove it in the rain the first time. disgusting bridgestone dueler somethings went to some other person who won;t know til it';s too late. the toyos are better, but enough ot.

I have the new Eagle GT-hr\'s. They are the closest to the stock GT+4 that you will find. I like them, but I don\'t do anty winter driving or any performance driving on them.

yes they do. I didn;t get the white letters, kinda lost my like for them.

As for the t/a question, I went to a couple different tire shops, and all said the t/s is no longer made. they were able to find some in warehouses, but they all were consistent that they were out of production for a few years. Tires do dry rot, and I really wouldn't want an old tire on my daily driver. especially with the mix of how I drive, and all the idiots in suv's that need them for the hilly terrain and 4' snowfalls. oh wait, I live on an island. its flat. and we rarely get more thn a foot of snow, and everything is closed then anywy.....

I put the Firehawk SZ50's on last summer. They look great but had worse tread wear than I like. They also stopped making them so you can not buy them anymore unless you find some laying around in a warehouse.
