Clean break- Doesn't look like the rear bumper was anything more than a decorative rubbery skin.
Was wondering about gettin' a big tube of GOOP and "glue-ing" it from the inside- but then my meds kicked in, and in a moment of clarity, I thot I'd ask someone with skills !

Just use some flexible bumper repair. It's two part. Just mix it togeather then put a light layer over the split. After it is dry, sand and reapply another light coat. Keep doing this untill the split is sealed. Sand to shap and repaint. If the split is at a point where it might flex open then attach a support accross the back first.

This was the first time I ever worked with the stuff. The rip was stable so I did not back support it. If I were to do it again I would have. I did this over two years ago and it still is holding and looking great. The only thing is to be sure and use equal parts. If the mix is off then you will have trouble. I had one layer then I ended up sanding (not really what I ended up doing) off because I had not put enough hardner in. It never sat up. I also had a batch the set up befor I ever got it on the car.

Good luck
