As it reads I am tiered of waiting on the upholstery shop and my 355 door panels getting done and I'm board so I am starting the chop on the Mutt. I hope every one enjoys the Chop thread I hope to show all details of my chop. First up is to get the interior out of the car and remove the panels.
Will be interesting to see and seeing how the 355 turned out, I am sure the chop top will be turn out jsut as good. Need to make it out that way to look at the 355 now that it is finsished and on the road. Good luck with the chop top but I am sure you dont need it.

The interior is not finished yet I'm waiting on the doors to get done then I can make the console. I want to have a Fiero run one day I would like to leave from the house and we could run out and up Chalk mountain their is one road that has 4 S turns in a row that are listed as 20 MPH turns I took the Mutt on them but have not had the 355 out there yet but it would be fun with all the Texas Fieros snaking out there.
Looks like a fun project! Careful not to throw any sparks on that pretty 355 next to it.
Thanks, I did get some black window sticky stuff on it but I work outside when sparking. buy the way day three is weld back up day enjoy and I overlapped a lot of the pieces like it was originally from the factory and I had to cut a small strip for the sun roof.
I wish I could get things done as fast as you do and make them look so simple. This is a good Thread on showing what is all involved in a chop top and outlines the major work done. Would be nice to get several Fieros together for a nice Sunday cruise thru the curving mountain roads, might start working on that. You plan on coming down to Austin for the Ruckus in Oct, would be nice to see the 355 there or the chop top if its done.

You make it look easy. Maybe we can get a group buy on those rear windows. We should develop a template to pass around so that the rear windows are all the same. It is an amazing start. You might have said it and I missed it, what's the power plant going to be??

I was going to do anouther 4.9 like in my 355 but I was thinking ecoTec to try to get a true 40MPG car but I researced the EcoTec and decided it was not worth the time for me I'm leaning back to keeping the duke or going 4.9 also need to ride in a 3.4 DOHC car to decide on that motor it is one car I have not had the pleasure of riding in. I like to find out how I like things myself and found out a long time ago never go by just say so. I guess it will be a suprise when it happens.
Well back to the fun stuff and putting the skin back on I also got a new windshield for 100 bucks and made a lexan rear window for now. I have a friend that owns a glass shop and I would like to later replace all the lexan with glass but it will depend on how the Lexan holds up. This shows how much lower the roof is now.
