My steering rack is loose on the DRIVERS side. I have seen many posts pointing at the pass side has play, but not the drivers side.
I put on a different rack, same thing. 2nd rack is messed up too.
What happens is when I jack up the car I can push in on the front of the tire and it moves 1/2" to 1" the dust boot seems to move up with it. The other tire does not move in relation, this is with the steering wheel locked.

Anyone have a way to fix it or at least know what is going on?
Mabey even a link to a rack rebuild, with good complete info and PICS.

have you checked you tie-rods msounds like your inner driver side is bad ,if you get to where you can reach up and grab the bellow(rubber boot looking thing)on your rack ,see if you have any in and out movement,if you do its gone,you need to replace it and you should do it all while there it will save you time ,here's a link https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/070063.html
