I have a 1987 GT the wheels are a wire type basket look 5x100 15" Does anybody know what the off set is????
I just came back from the junk yard and installed a rim from a VW jetta GTI. 5x100 17"....WoW they look great and fit tight... But I thing the offset is off. The wheel sits in just a little bit.

this is my 2002 1.8t jetta, which has the 17" "long beach" wheels as there called
the bolt pattern is correct, but im unsure of the offset, BUT...
the wheels off a 94-99 mk3 golf/jetta do fit on the fiero, and the wheels from the mk4 99.5-2004 golf/jetta fits on the mk3's with no issues
i would bolt up the 17's to a fiero but i sold my fiero a few weeks ago

bad idea because they bolt up differently and I don't think it would be safe to use on the fiero.

I went the other way. When I got 17" wheels for my '87 GT, I put its old "lace" wheels on my 2001 Jetta. The Fiero wheels are a little wider and have a little more negative offset than the stock VW wheels had. Really improved the stance of the Jetta!

dosent matter, the VW uses a wheel "bolt" instead of the standard "lugnut" still serves the same purpose

Golf Gen-IV should fit the Fiero without any problem. The older once had 4x100 pattern and the new once has 5x112mm pattern, so they won't fit.
Here in Sweden no one knows what fits on the Fiero, so when i looked for new rims this spring, i had to ask for rims for a Golf Gen-IV.
Theese are seposed to be Golf rims. Looks to me like they where made for the Fiero. 7x17" offset 38 and 8x18" offset 35.

Pictures taken last friday/saturday at midnight. (Midsummer eve.) Location: Docks of Göteborg, where Götaälv (Göta-river) flows out in the ocean.
