No idea what would bolt up, but this is one time when it's actually an advantage that GM used the parts bin to make some of this car Things designed for other platforms bolt right up!

Exactly, There have been many times I've used the parts bin to my advantage. I bought a Firebird steering wheel and I just knew it would work, (it did).

Anyway I just took some measurements off my 84, the struts tops are 42 inches apart, no problem there. The entire strut towers on the frame are about 50 inches apart. No problem there either, except it might encroach on the clutch master cylinder a little bit. But I'm sure you could work around that.

The real problem, as expected is that at ride height, (of my 84 anyway) the tops of the strut towers would be about two inches above the hood (34 inches). But with adjustable coilovers you could easily take out two inches. It might be a little stiff, but with the added weight of the electric motor, transmission, inverter and a few batteries up front, beefed up springs would be needed anyway.
