go to autozone but pontiac 6000le light duty brakes axles and call it done. the 4T60 does not require you to make your own axles by changing ends.

do a search on the forum for 4t60 and read up. 4 of the threads all state that simply buy the new axles and install them.

Is this the same procedure for an Automatic and Manual Tranny?I am useing the Automatic tranny that came with the 3800 SC (series II) motor,Are these the axles and steps Im looking for?Thanks.

oops, i was asking about automatic vs manual axles and i found out auto tranny stuff wont work .

Rickady88GT, I've got my axles apart so that I can lengthen them 4" for my wide suspension. I took the bands apart like youi did, but I don't have a tool for recrimping them. Did you find a way to use a conventional tool?
