Rickady88GT, I've got my axles apart so that I can lengthen them 4" for my wide suspension. I took the bands apart like youi did, but I don't have a tool for recrimping them. Did you find a way to use a conventional tool?

BOTH the 4T60 AND 4T60-E transmissions use a vacuum modulator. The vacuum modulator on BOTH transmissions serves only ONE purpose -- line pressure control. On the 4T60, shift points and kickdown are controlled by the TV cable and governor. On the 4T60-E they are controlled by the PCM.
I've found lots of information on adjusting the TV cable, but nothing on adjusting the modulator. Could you give us a rundown on what's the best order and method to get these 2 items working together to get the best combination of engine/transmission performance?
