Hello everyone,

This is my first post to the forum and I hope someone out there can help.

Has anyone used a 2006 Pontiac G6 6 speed manual transmission in a Fiero or does anyone have any information on trying to use one in a Fiero?
Any information I can get will be very helpfull.

I currently own 2 Fieros an 86 GT fastback 4 speed manual and a 87 GT fastback auto. I also have the engine bay and drivetrain cradle from a 85 notchback to use as a mockup for a chevy smallblock swap.
The 86 is a well optioned car and I am going to put it back together stock but the 87 has no engine and that one is going to get the V8.

The 86 and the 85 came from the junkyard and are rough. The 85 had been wrecked in the front and rear and repaired but the spaceframe was in bad shape so I just keep the engine bay and drivetrain cradle for the mockup.
The 87 was a freebe with no engine but a good dash and other parts.

Thanks,
Jack

Thank You,
This is great info, I think this will be a good trans for my Fiero although I like the changes made to the 2007 trans.
By the time I am ready to do this I hope the 2007 will by available.

Weldon, California. Short distance east of Lake Isabella as I recall. Keep your eyes open for events in or near Bakersfield, and if you have the chance, you may enjoy the next barbecue hosted by West Coast Fiero.

My grandpa and grandma used to live in weldon a few years ago. Now there living in ridgecrest and im living in tehachapi which is about 35 miles from bakersfield. You should definitely come to the bakersfield meets because its just a short drive through the canyon for you.

I have not heard about any events in the Bakersfield area, were might I find out about them? I would like to attend them.
I have been to one of the West Coast Fiero BBQ's last year it was a good time and very informative.

I do have a question does anyone know were I can find complete vacuum diagrams for an 86 GT fastback V6 with a manual 5 speed Getrage trans.

I do have an account with Alldata for this car but there is no complete diagrams there that I can find and I have a 1986 Pontiac Fiero service manual that I bought from E-bay.
After looking in the table of contents for vacuum diagrams and not finding any I went through the entire manual page by page and found nothing for vacuum diagrams, but I did find many intresting bits of information as I went through the manual.

I have done some work on my Fiero in the last 2 days after not touching it for about 2 months.
I installed the fuel tank, engine and drivetrain, rear suspension, and the decklid.
I am now conecting all of the fuel, water, electrical, and vacuum lines in the engine bay.
The system I am having trouble with is the cruse control vacuum lines.
The car was from a junkyard and many of the systems had been taken apart so I am having to deal with it, but I will get it done one way or another.
Oh and I haven't even started on the interor witch has basicly been stripped to the wiring. It should be loads of fun but I will do it in time.

Daniel the next time you are in the Weldon area give me a call my number is 760-417-1410.
