Hey Folks.

Question...

I will soon be replacing the clutch on my Getrag.

What sections need to be greased? Eg.. do I need to pack the throw out bearing? or just lightly grease the area it rides? Dont want grease being thrown on the clutch, but don't want a chatter noise either.

Ya get a kit which includes a new throwout bearing. If your has the welded together fork, replace it with the one piece forged one. Lube the fork shaft (out is the only way it can be lubed) so its easy while you have it apart. Use GOOD waterproof permanent grease.

Lightly grease the input shaft sleeve as well as the grooved ring at the rear of the T/O bearing where the tangs come into contact with it. Not a lot, just a thin layer.

I wouldnt grease the TO bearing at all, if its out of factory lube it should be replaced. Not expensive either.
Either replace it, or grease it and ruin your flywheel, pressureplate, and clutch disk

(you can put a TINY TINY TINY layer of grease on it, but likely it'll spin right off, and if you put even a tiny bit too much it'll get on your clutch pack)
