Does anybody know the weight of a stock flywheel and shaved down to .840?

Still heavy...

I never weighed it but I know the machine shop did not convert it to aluminum.

I dont have the weights but when I got my 0.840 machined flywheel back quite some material was removed. My rough guess (!) is it may be 1/4 lighter. Since the fiero is lighter than the 'camaro' flywheel donor the flywheel diet may do some good too ...
0.840 machined 99 camaro flywheel balanced to a 98 gtp L67 flexplate, 2 holes (see upper left) were drilled for balancing

its still heavy

I would guess close to 30lbs in stock form. No real idea though.

I weighed the stock camaro flywheel before i had mine machined down and it was 21 lbs. After the machining it weighed 16 lbs, so they machined off 5 lbs.

So a 16lb flywheel for $50.99 + $50-200 for Machine costs OR $399.00 for a 10-11lb flywheel
