Is there anyone with one of the online wiring search engines that could post a wiring diagram of a 2000 Ford Focus instrument cluster?? I'm re-wiring one for installation into a Fiero-based kit car; I've reverse-engineered a lot of the circuitry so far, but there are a few signals that switch layers so many times on the circuit board that my eyes are going to bleed trying to trace them. The plan is to develop a "universal" board that will accept Fiero instrument cluster signals, and drive the air-core meter movements and idiot lights on just about any OEM gauge cluster. This one is going to be "sort-of" there, I'm re-using some of the circuitry on the Ford circuit board, and replacing the microprocessor. The good news is that the digital odometer is being driven by the same LCD driver chip that I use on the Lambo HVAC interface, so I already know how it works and have code to control it. It's funny that the OEM's have the chips re-labeled so you can't tell what they are, but they leave the manufacturer logo on them, so a quick search on the datasheet websites and a few measurements and you can figure out what the commercial version of the chips are. Nerd. I know. Anyway, looking for the diagram to speed up the work on this one, as I'm trying to squeeze it into an already over-booked schedule... The crappy part is I know this cluster has been used before in a Murcielago kit, as I saw it on eBay in one, but emails to the seller went unanswered.. It's a serial-bus driven cluster, so I don't know if they re-engineered it like I'm doing, or if it was "fake", or if they used a Ford ECM to drive it. (car had the stock 2.8 engine)

Looks like it's going to work out pretty well... Not a bad looking cluster, and probably not too much $ at the junkards with the number of Focus's around... Still want to try it out on the 'Vette cluster!

Unfortunately no... Just the cluster with the connector on it. It's a 28 pin connector on the back of the cluster if that helps..

Is it possible to do a "crtl-print screen" to take a screen capture of it when it's on the screen? Then do <paste> in Paintbrush and can save it as an image. I do that a lot with different programs when they won't let you save, but don't know if it's possible on Mitchell... Thanks for looking it up!! I spent a long time trying to get the air core driver chips working last night (3am), but couldn't get them to do squat. Tried a different one that operates differently, and couldn't get that working either. Frustrating...
