What kind of coolant hoses did you use to connect the under body pipes to the engine?

Also, on the heater core lines that come up to the back firewall, which side is return and which side is feed?

Also, what sizes were all the hoses?

Thank you

Matthew

Another good question, what size of freeze plugs does a person need to block off the heat core ports?

I use rubber freeze plugs, about an inch on the lower WP one, and like 5/8 on the upper LIM one.

The coolant hoses are tricky, I use a stock 4cyl hose for the driver side, and whatever I can find for the pass side.. I seem to never find the one everyone talks about.

3800 SC series II
They are... and if you have problems finding them at autozone send me a pm.
Drivers side coolant hose XL-1023
Passenger side coolant hose L-251
As for the heater core,if you have a water pump with 2 tubes faceing the rear of your car. Then you may want to order a curved hose (shaped like a walking cane but much shorter). This will point the heater hose in the correct direction (twards the front,I think the end is flaired on the new hose and may need to be niped off. You'll understand what I mean when you try and insert the copper tubeing). You will need to connect these hoses together with a copper tube (I think I have a spare piece of copper tubeing if you need it). I was told by a mechanic friend of mine that it doest matter whitch direction the heater core tubes you use (the water can flow in reverse, yea,I know someone will disagree....so go ahead voice your opinion).
Both these part numbers are for the same curved water pump to heater core hose (depends how much money you want to spend).
Car Quest RBR-19110
GM-10400424
Some parts stores can cross refrence the part numbers,if you can't fint the parts stores above (but that doesnt mean all part stores have these hoses).

Well, I am not using that stock alternator bracket with the heatercore through it.

I am also using the Fiero coolant neck, so the drivers side heater core hooks up here?
Will the 4cyl hose from pipe to neck still fit if I use the Fiero neck I am using?
I have the part nearest to the back of the car on the timing cover, where part of that stock bracket connects to (the one with the o-ring) threaded with a 3/4" barbed fitting. Next to it is obviously that angled plastic peice on LIM. I am assuming I remove the plastic elbow and cap it? and just run some hose from the barbed fitting to the pass side heater core?

Does anyone have a better idea what the pass side hose is from?

If not I'll buy some random length of flexible coolant hose when I find money next.

Check the last post, first page, lists part# and shows neccessary cuts. Other posts probably detail other parts of the cooling system prep
