A popular "urban legend" back in the olden days (the '60's) was that people watching TV were susceptible to subliminal messages. According to the legend, producers of TV shows could insert a single frame of a product in the video tape of the TV show & people would be inspired to go out & buy that product.
I know that it worked because after every episode of Bonanza I took a Bayer Asprin.
So I'm experimenting to see if that still works.

I just ordered one, now I know why.

Archie did the new parts from FL and CA arrive today.
Yes both packages came in today.
Installation of electronics in the interior of that car was the primary focus today. We did stick one of the lights in the front just to see what they look like.
That's Kris's arm in there holding the light while I took the picture.

Rob & Kris still have a long way to go on the interior wiring but they have the amps mounted & hooked up. The radio thingie with navigation hooked up & working......
The mapping system is showing a map for someplace in the LA area because it has now reception inside my building & I'd assume the area that is on the screen is the area where it was tested/built/supplied from.....
This is the Daytime view.......
Night view..........
This is with it's mouth open to eat another plastic donut.
The wiring of all the stuff is a maze.....
We found that the navigation unit had to be mounted flat & level. The only place left to mount it was under the console. See it here at the back end of the console.

My Navigation did the same thing. It was set at some place in L.A. until I pulled the car out to get a GPS signal. but I thought they stopped making the units that require a seperate box a while ago.

It's the new system from Clarion that just hit the market for 2007. The separate unit holds the 30 GB hard drive windows driven system. The nav system runs off of the HD rather than a DVD.
you can see it in my cardomain page in my sig. I think it is in page 6.
I gotta go check the one you got out. Clarion is a really good brand.

Just checkeed it out. I see why they had to mount your setup like that. I didnt know your NAV was a seperate box. I had that problem when I had an Eclipse setup in my car. I hated having to find a spot for that brain box. Slapped it under the seat and that thang would always get caught when I would slide the seat around.
But your setup is really nice. What does the rest of yoyur system consist of?
In the pic below the space for the DVD/GPS unit looks tilted. Will the screen be visible from the driver position with this setup? And even if it does, it's a bad angle at daytime, imagine the sun shining on the unit, you being in unknown terain. (Needing to se the map/directions.) Just a thought! Nice buildthread though. It's given me a lot of idéas, and scaring the he#¤%ll out of my wallet.

I just check out your set up on cardomain NICE. I was looking at the same unit from Pioneer but I ran from the price, but the joke was on me the two parts from Clarion were about the same price. They both have the HDD, It's a great option.

we have made some changes to the layout to make it more driver and daytime friendly. Archie and crew are doing a great job at taking all that into consideration, and making sure my "pipe dreams" are functional. ( not a ez job when they have to work on my car and curly's car at the same time ) Some days we must drive the crew crazy.

The stock turn lamps are non-popish and outdated and is need of an replacements. Those fog lamps are a perfect "pop" and match for the NSX headlamps. Funny how those PIAA's have a history, hehe.

Once again we had to take the nose off to fo fiberglassing inside. We also have to find a way to mount the driving lights so they can be serviced in the future. When we finally mount the nose for the last time it will be glassed in, we're trying to mount them so that they can be serviced down the road.
You may have noticed in the last nose pictures a single tooth sticking down & another sticking up. We used them to attach some thin sheet metal to form this vertical bar.
Now that Troy has approved of what we are doing with the back end, I'll show you a couple of pictures......

While the front & the back are still getting fiberglass thrown at them, we'll take a look at that Momo Shift knob.
Virtually all of the wiring is about done in the interior. The biggest thing we gotta do is is find the right connectors to plug into the bulbs on the NSX-R light assemblies. Then we gotta figure out the wiring on them so we don't burn something up.
