Thanks guys.

Ok here it is.... I believe that my 87 has an 88 front suspension. My car has both the 87 and 88 shock absorber locations which mean I can either mount my shocks the 87 way or mount them the 88 style.

What a surprise for me.

Again thanks for the pics

someone may have converted it to the 88 front and left the old mounts in place.
not a bad deal

...if they swapped in the 88 suspension it should be easy to tell by the front brake disc (unless they left in the 87 spindles). The 88 uses a sealed bearing in the front, hence the disc will be different (on the 87 the bearings fit inside of the rotor assembly - the 88 disc comes off the bearings unit - you have just the disc).

perhaps I'm juming the gun thinking/claiming this?

I still have the 87 spindles. I'll post some pics soon and you guys can tell me what's up.

however inside my coil spring there's a boot no shock and an opening on top and bottom that look like it can accept the installment of a shock obsorber.

Anyhow I'll post some pictures as soon as I can.

If somebody swapped in a 88 front ont that 87, 87 shock mounts and spindles should not be there.

It might be an 87 coil over front (could it be ???)

Can wait to see pics
