it seems someone saw fit to use cheap gaskets, OK first thing, I used the gaskets that came with the v8 kit. Now I know someone else may have changed the gaskets, because the transaxle was replaced due to failure of the transaxle I had in there. They look 10x better than that sunpro crap anyway. Awww I liked those Sunpro gauges LOL Other than that I like the way the car is looking. Keep up the good work. Matt

okay no update. Just posting here to keep the thread up. Sorry vwalt I love the new gauges though =)
So the next step I think when I get it, before finishing the dash swap or anything is to swap the engine to TBI from the carb. Then I'll finish the sunroof swap, and then i'll work on the interior. God I miss this car.
Shelby, hows your work coming? Did you get it all ready for paint? Its august, I hope so! I havent done anything with AC ducting, as the heat blew right through into the holes on the dash, and that was good enough for me in the winter. Defrost worked too. obviously I"m going to fix this as soon as I get it back, but when I do, it'll be some sort of small dryer ducting I think. Octopus as Roy once called it I think. Maybe I'll find a way to harden it once everything gets in place. I wish I'd have known you were in San Antonio, cause I was there for two months and I could have seen your car! That really is unfortunate and a lack of attention to detial on my part.

I just got a set of Lindsey's lights.... Did yours come with some kind of instructions? How do you mount them..? I have heard they are just epoxied in but I am a bit skeptical... Any advice?
Thanks for taking the time to read this

Jeff,
Mine did have one single sheet of instructions... They are mounted by popping in the bottom portion first then sliding it in, like a swinging door upwards, Its a little less than high quality as far as the mounting points go, you will see.... If you got the exact same light set as me, you"ll find the tallights themselves are screwed in (which i'l be replacing, its just a phillips head screw which is a little unclassy imo) and the reverse lights ARE epoxied in. Like I said, its not the highest quality, but it does the job and with a little bit of tweaking they can be made to look really nice.I like them alot, but given a second chance, I might have just done a plain setup minus the reverse lights, and found a more subtle solution to those. THey are literally fog lights turned sideways and epoxied in there, which I didnt realise until I had them in hand. They still look great, but.. well no looking back now.

Matt good to see you again. I have stripped about 80 percent of the car (passenger door, passenger fender, and front and rear bumpercovers are all thats left.) I decided to do a panel off paint due to the fact that I found a broked A-pillar while sanding. I am now getting rid of the sun roof because I like the clean lines without it. I have also scored some AusFiero Side scoops and am prepping those to be painted as well. The dash has been put on hold for right now due to I wanted to get the body painted then finish the duct work. Here is what I was thinking about instead of Dryer type ducting. http://www.ducting.com/XLT.html and using the Firebird ducts that are right behind the vents.
