Getting ready to sand the doors for paint next week, however I haven't figured out how to remove the molding from the doors. (belt line molding). I see there is another rivet that looks like it will need to be drilled but I don't know if I can even get a drill under the door handle AND drill a straight line at the same time!

Any help???

Under the handle is not a rivet. It is just a peg that pulls out of a hole. I base this on 85-85 don't know about 84's.
You just start under the door handle and pull it out to clear the handle. The rest of the strip is held on with five white plastic fastners. Four that snap into a hole in the door and the last held with a screw.
You can start at the handle and slowly push up and rotate the strip out until it releases from the next fastener. Continue to the second one the same way. The last one is different but you still twist and lift to pop it loose. If you lucky (which I'm usually not) you can do it without breaking any but they are old and tend usually end up breaking at least one of them.

Have also had good luck using a hook tool to insert behind the trim by the fastner and pulling up as I rotate out.

If the x-mas tree type push fastener under the door handle that holds the end of the molding has been replaced by a rivet as long as the inner door panel is off the door handle is only held on by two 10mm stamped nuts, remove them and the handle is out of the way to drill the rivet.
