You can shim under the latch portion that is bolted to the underside of the roof. I used some scrap aluminum sheet, but large diameter washers would work. It only takes a little to make a big difference in how tight the sunroof is.

I'm having the Fiero Store rubber gasket and hardware installed this week, so I'll let you know if I notice anything. I guess a great stereo system may be the best solution! b

Did you verify that you have the drain holes and they are not plugged?
check that for more information and details. I'm sure others will chime in with PFF links to the same.
You can tighten it until you have a NASA grade seal and still get a leak if you dont have those drain holes or your holes are plugged with gook. I fixed my sunroof leak by cleaning out my holes.

Except that the holes in the pictures in the link in the last message are drilled in the wrong place. They should be drilled on the other side of the gasket -- the side closest to the sunroof. And use a 3/16" drill bit, not 1/4. The holes can be drilled with the gasket in place -- you just pull the gasket back to drill the hole. This thread has the official instructions, but the pictures are long gone from it. Edit: Found a picture with the correct hole location:

thanx guys! i dont know if it was the drilling, or the washers, or even just that i redid the gasket in that corner, but the leak is substantially smaller! i may punch a hole in the gasket however, the water seems to accumulate in the gasket corner. "+"s for all!
