Hello. I put this under general because i want to decode my vin number to check my interior color (yes i did a search but found nothing useful) Anyway, i have a dead 87GT that i'm stripping down and redressing a naked 86(GT?) and while doing this i am looking for new parts, mostly a new Beachwood dash. Several people have told me and I've read this in some threads that Beachwood only came in an 88. Is this true? If so, am i calling the color of my interior the wrong name (light and dark tan) or did somebody do an interior transplant in my car? Next question would be how or where can i decode the vin number and or the tag on the door?

It would be easier to post the first 11 numbers of your VIN and we'll be able to decipher it for you, than to describe all the possibilities. As for the original color of the interior, post a photo of the RPO sticker on the driver's side front wheel well in the front compartment. That'll have all the info you might ever want on the car.

This thread has some good information:

https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...090219-2-082067.html

From the 22P:

1988

66 - Med. Beechwood
66B Trim
66D Trim
662 Trim

82 - Med Dark Grey
82B Trim
82D Trim
882 Trim

The two trim colors are the dark and light. With those codes any paint store can map them to the WA numbers.

For the other years:

1984, 1985
13 - Light Slate Gray/Graphite
13B
13C
13D

64 - Med Doeskin
64B
64C
643

1986, 1987
62 - Lt Saddle
62B
62D
622

82 - Med Dark Grey
82B Trim
82D Trim
882 Cloth

If anyone has the matching WA numbers (I have some and I will post), we should get this archived somewhere.

Finally, all of these codes are on the VIN label on the drivers side fender usually at the bottom of the label.
