I think the whole box that you sent that set of 4 of them to me in weighed less than 2 pounds.

i have that one extra one at the shop. I'll weigh it tomorrow.

Chuck sent me some nice instructions for installing these Caliper Covers.

He OK'ed me posting it.

Support car and remove wheel.
Place locating spacers on caliper pins.
The open area of the spacers should be pointed at each other.

Place caliper cover over locating spacers.

With a ¼ drill bit, place it in the top screw hole, spin the drill just enough to “spot” the hole.
Spot only one hole!

Remove the cover.
This is what the “spot” should look like.

With the supplied #7 drill bit, drill into the caliper at the marked area. Drill until you feel the bit hit the pad or about ¾ inch in. Do Not use oil on the bit, the caliper is cast and must be drilled and tapped dry.
Keep the drill square to the caliper.

Blow out the hole with air to clear any chips.

Using the supplied ¼ 20 tap, thread the hole to the bottom.

Blow out the threads to remove any chips.

Place the caliper cover back over the spacers. If you did it right you should see the threads. :-)

Insert the cap screw and tighten. Then “spot” the lower screw hole.

Remove the cover, drill and thread the lower hole the same way as the top hole.

Place the cover back on the spacers. Place both cap screws in just a few turns.

Remove the spacers and final tighten the cap screws.

Admire your work. Put the wheel back on. Repeat three more times. :-)

Well I had a little time to play with the Fiero this morning before family activities... these are super easy to install. Instead of dotting the spot with a drill, then drilling in one shot, I used a slip busing with a quarter outside diameter and an eigth inside diameter in the hole of the cover. I drilled the pilot hole, then stepped it up to final hole size, threaded them and got the two rears drilled and threaded in less than an hour.

BTW I did not have to take my wheels off since there is ample room to drill the holes with the wheels on. I have Motegi five spoke wheels.

My drill battery died, and I ran out of time, so the others will be drilled up tomorrow. I will paint and get them installed tomorrow as well.

Great product!

Thanks MotorTV
