i have rest up in the rear wheel well... its about two hand sizes long and about one hand can fit in it...

anyone have photos of what it looks like with the body panels off? how do i fix this?

i checked under the carpet in the trunk where other hidden rust spots?

Yeah, thats the most common place for rust. The best way to fix it is to pull the rear body panels off, cut out the rotted metal, and weld in some new panels.

Thats the reason I'm looking for a new SHELL, only mine is missing about 6" X 3 foot long ! rails, spring pockets & trunk corners !

Lou6t4gto ill see your rust and raise you missing battery area not just mount but eveything the battery sits on.
OP I would recomend pulling out the wheel wells. gives a better look.
