Hi, Im upgrading the alt in my 87 with a stock 2.8 to the 88 alternator. The Bolt is missing from the 87 and I believe it was a different size then the 88.. maybe im wrong. But does anyone know what size bolt I will need and also where to get the 88 alt harness plug? Autozone no long carries it. Thanks!

If you're talking about the lower adjuster bolt, it's a 13mm head with an M10x1.5 thread. I think the upper is a 15mm M12x1.5. See this thread for more info. The alternator harness plug can come from just about any late-80's to late-90's GM car with a CS130, so a junkyard is your best bet.
