OK guys its me again I am obsessed with this damn lil car....

Started a 97 TA Power mirror swap and read all the threads in here but it doesnt seem like anyone has built an entire thread and if you guys want I will do what I can on here...

First what I need help with. Is there a factory location for the Power Mirrors on the Fuse Block for Fuses and Relays?

And Anyone know if the wire color code is the same on ALL Pontiacs? IE use the same colors on these mirrors to match what would be there and if I can find a switch I like... THAT DOESNT GO IN THE MANUAL HOUSING.. its not going to be there when I am done with the interior

Great big help Thanks Cajun. Ok if I am reading this right the mirrors have internal circuit breakers on the Fiero? So, there is no external breaker at the fuse block? and it looks like Junction 17 at the Fuse Block would be the source wire for the whole unit. So that wont be a problem.... Now I am just off to find a switch..... looking for a radius' corner control grey... preferably one that will work with the 4 wire mirrors that I have from the 97 TA

If you look at my posting (4th one down from page 1) in the below thread you will see my mod for PW mirrors with schematics... I found that most Grand Am's 91-99 have a very compatible PW mirror setup and switch that installs very easily .... good luck with your mod

Thanks all...Just off to a PAP yard here in Tulsa to try to find a switch and connector that I can make this work. May have to also look at a 97TA schematic to find out if they required relays in their circuit... I will post a complete thread with details when I am done... Hopefully in about a week.. Waiting on the other mirror from ebay

when I installed the mirrors from an 92 olds 98, I rewired the original switch to work with the mirrors. I dont know if you are updating in your fiero, But I feel it would be easier to rewire the original than it would to make the other switches fit. Plus you can just buy the PM/PW harness off someone on here , its a seperate harness. John
