I didnt have any fuel starvation problems with AFB carb (dual center mount floats) turning, stopping or accelerating. My only issue was during hot summer, the bowls suffered from heat purculation and caused engine to stall in traffic. That was a simple cure by just installing a fiber spacer to relieve heat transfer under the carb and never had the problem reappear.

ok so i want to buy a new carb i think but anyone know where i can buy the edelbrock intake and a distributor used for pretty cheep?

Post a WTB (want to buy) in the mall or watch Ebay.
I've seen a few go on Ebay for around $100

The S-10 forums is also another place to look for used ones. A friend a few years ago bought a setup for $200. It included the intake, Carb, and distributor.
