Anyone have any tips or howto's on removing the real lower quarterpanels? I got my stage 3 scoops painted and ready to go and have no idea on how to take the stock panels off the car without damaging anything or hurting the clips that have not already became brittle.

From the Body Section of the Service Manual.
Looks like you may have to pull the 1/4 window.
Click to download Body Section.

you do not need to pull 1/4 window. take out wheelwell screws, trim has a screw in the wheelwell side, open door -take a putty knife and pop small round plastic cap off of the trim end. there will be a rivet. 1/8 drill bit- drill it out. take your time. slide trim off left or right. under trim are more rivets. 3/8 or 1/4 in bit-drill them out. with door open take out little inner door ground efect covers. some will have fisherbody on them. use side of blade of a putty knife-pop them off. under them are more rivets.you need to remove the long ground efect panel.when this is done it will be connected to rear quarter panel. there is two plastic fingers on ground efect that need to be relieced. i use an old butter knife.to make it easyer on you there is a rivet holding the bottom of the quarter panel on.take the putty knife and a hammer and hit down on the rivet. panel should come off. then you can see how the quarter panel and ground efect need to be unclipped with a butter knife. if you need a personal walkthrough just call me at 419-868-6504. i will try to help you. i put ribbed side quarters on my 87gt. got them from the fierowarehouse. i get many complements at carshows.
