It looks like I am going to have to change my alternator and A/C compressor over to a 2000+. The A/C compressor uses a smaller pulley. This is good because I am close to the cradle. 1/2" or less close. The little bracket I made up for the Alternator out of the old dog bone mounting plate is in the way of the new belt location. The Newer style Alternator bolts directly to the head and will give me clearance.
So, During my reserve drill this weekend while working under a blazer, car talk came up, and an employee of CS Motorsport says he's going to be dynoing a northstar powered fiero, He says its yellow too. Cant wait to hear results.

Time line recap I purchased a 86 fiero in September . . Built two axles I used the Northstar tulips, 4.9L tripods, Beretta 12” shafts, Fiero outer CV joint. .
AJ, What year/configuration Beretta has the correct shafts? Which side??

The right shaft from a 1996 Beretta is the short one. 12 3/4" long $18 from A1 Driveshaft http://a1driveshaft.com/index.html I used a inner CV Tripod from a 1990 Cadillac 4T65 trans. Mine had slides The inner tulip (outside portion) from a 1994 to 99 This also had the slides I used the stock Fiero outer CV.
I have some picture I will post.

Don't know AJ, maybe they were marked wrong. The length was about 12 7/8". This one is actually from a 95 Grand Am GT, but I asked for the 96 Berreta wt 3.1L. Both sides were in front of me, so I took the shorter. The other axle I'm using is off the Celebrity wagon wt HD brakes that I took my uprights from. They were identical in size. I've built both axles and have the DS in. Fits like a glove, with no binding.
Thanx for the inspiration.... Bob
PS, Still curious how you ran the exaust...

I found the axle build on a web site. I talked to STS last year and he told me he used the larger Northstar Axles, but he had the ability to cut a new snap ring groove in them.
I have read over 200 posts but have NOT found anyone who can send me a wiring diagram of how to wire a Fiero to a 1999 Northstar using the Cadillac PCM. Is this possible or not? I just want it to run. Not for racing. Thanks.
