Here is the start of my build. I got it from my cousin for 800 bucks. It's been sitting in his backyard for 13 years with a tarp over it. He had the motor with the 3.1 stroker kit from A.R.I. The whole motor was together but my Dad wanted to make sure everything was all correct inside. About a week later we started to chop down the motor. There was so much liquid gasket that I sat in my Dad's garage for hours scraping it off of all the parts. When we finally got the heads off there was no oil or lubrication anywhere. We made the desicion to take the pistons out and strip the motor to the block. Good thing we did that because the crank bearings were all bad. He evn forgot to put one in. I give my cousin his props for trying but If I ever tried to start that in the car it wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes. Enjoy the pics. More to come this spring and summer!!!!!! Ihopefully the green machine because I want to paint it a nice green color.

Just painted the motor over the weekend. I also did one of my valve covers. I will get pics later .

I really dislike the ketchup and mustard paint scheme... I saw it on a Mitsu 3000GT once and it looked horible... the car was yellow with all trim done in red.

I posted the pics of my new painted motor underneath the old motor pics. Thats a very nice car. Mines not gonna be that nice because mine is gonna be my first car. Daily driver too. But i'm gonna hopefully make it a turquose color. I'm not gonna have the money to make it that nice.

Is this project dead? Run out of hope?

A fiero is never finished.......

No its still going. Its just that my dad needs to finish some 32 fords before we can get it in the garage to finish it. Im hoping very soon.

Looks much better than my first Fiero way back in high school! Good work! Besides the better wheels, the coupe front bumper (mine had the SE bumper) and not having the wacky graphics that mine had down the side, it could almost pass for it. From a distance. LOL Eventually I spray-painted it black then the engine locked up. I think it was mad at me. 16 Fieros later and I still don't have one that I can drive! LOL

Good to see the younger guys keeping these alive!

I'm getting the front bumper cover that is supposed to be on the car. The paint is different so it looks to be that it was in a front end wreck. This is going to be my daily driver so i didnt get too crazy on the motor. I would of if it were going to be my 2nd car. Thanks for your input guys.

I had A/C original in the car but im not going to put it back in because I like air blowing in my face through the windows. Will this gain any HP at all either?

A/C takes power. The electromagnet for the clutch draws amps. Another bearing to spin.

You will gain a little power.

I took my subframe out today. Tomorrow I will finish cleanin it and the next day paint. I may be getting KYB GR-2 shocks and struts.

When you get the front bumper cover you need to also get everything that is under it and attaches to it. i.e. energy absorber, lower air dam with brackets, inner fender liners and some other items from underneath that are different from the bumper pad nose. Otherwise it will be floppy and will have some gaps.

Finally making some progress with her. I got the motor in the cradle and all new polyurethane mounts and bushings in. I got new KYB shocks and struts. I also got a 86 SE parts car for free from one of my junkyard buddies. Hopefully next week i will put the cradle in the car and get her all ready to start up. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all there help i received and comments i got for my first car/fiero. I finally turned 16 and got my permit so pretty soon ill be driven her.

The original green machine is alive and well in Seattle. It is now on its second owner in our club, Jet City Fieros. It is one incredible machine with a highly worked over 3800. I believe it was built by WCF.

everythings hooked up just need to get the tank in connect all those lines and try to find the system ground and oxygen sensor ground lines and maybe ill fire it up this week one day. ill keep you guys posted.

I finally got it running. We had the timing so off that it backfired and blew a whole in the cat. Tomorrow were gonna fix that and the fuel leak we have and then we should be good to go. Video soon to come.

Definately pictures tomorrow and maybe a video or two if i can get it to work. Now im almost done with paint prep and Tuesday when Im off of school ill put some paint on there. Im actually gonna do te top black and the rocker panels and all the accesoriesblack. The rest of the car is going to be a nice metallic blue. It runs almost perfect now and it seems louder than i thought it was gonna be. But i love the sound it has ad i just cant wait to get my license and actually drive it on the real road.
