There is a puller that threads into the holes on the balancer, and pushes in the middle.. Most car places will loan/rent you one, but they're really cheap at harbor freight.

Currently in the middle of my 88 + 3800NA swap

You need one of big Y looking pullers like for a steering wheel. Put a deep socket in the crank pulley to protect the crank from the puller bolt. You will most likely need new bolts, as my HB pulley didn't have the right ones. 1/4" fine thread bolts will work, about 3" in length.

EDIT: They beat me to it..

The three puller screw holes in the series II balancer are 6mm x 1.

1/4'" x 20 bolts will work but will damage the existing threads.

Good luck finding 6Mx1.00 x 100mm bolts at your local hardware store. Metric or not, the 1/4" bolts will work just fine and you can typically get them much easier.

I was able to get M6x1x100s from the local Ace or True Value as well. Needed to stack a few washers to keep the bolt heads from getting pulled through the puller's slots tho.
