i originally ran a set of the stock deville injectors on my 4.9L setup, refurbished, and it ran a little lean at WOT and would sometimes ping on me, so i bought a set of accel 19/lb hr injectors for a 5.0L mustang, and they work like a charm. the engine is smoother, i get a cleaner burn, and the pinging went away. my fuel pressure is around 45-48 psi, using an sfi 3.1L Beretta fuel pump.

I installed these a few days ago in my 4.9. The engine runs better than I have ever seen it. These are amazing.

This is a great idea for anyone doing a 4.9 swap . I highly recommend these injectors.

Thanks FEW for this bit of information. I can't give you another + or I would.

Otherwise, they appeared identical.

my allante engine was the opposite, as it had the black-body injectors, and my 4.9L's were the greys... Raydar, what is the part number on your black injectors?

Glad to hear they're working out for you guys. I'll be looking for another set myself sometime in the future.

I'm embarrassed to say what happened to the first set I bought. Lets just say I messed up bad and a fire extinguisher was involved. No permanent damage to anything but the injectors and the injector harness.

Happy Friday the 13th everone!!
