4.9 Allante hybrid running! Now looking for air filter suggestions.

I would like to use a stock V6 can, so I can keep the intake air, but the car was born with a 4, and I don't have one to mock anything up or see if there is any mounting differences...if ya got one collecting dust let me know.

So..........what is your Allante air intake setup? Wanna show it off (pics)? .............Can I copy you?

Thanks again, Mike

I used the rubber connector off of the 4.9's intake duct, about a 3" section of plastic pipe, and a "parts store" cone filter.
If you have the Fiero cruise control in place it will be in the way, however.

Perfect for hot air induction.

This is how I did my Cold Air intake on my Allante

View of the engine

This is the modded Air Cleaner with the Spider removed and a 3.5 inch inlet and outlet

The connection the the side scoop

This is another 4.9 with an Allante intake that I did for a customer

Joe's setup is preferable from a performance standpoint.
I just cobbled mine together to get it running. I plan do do something like that his at some point.
Although it might appear to be restrictive, a similar canister is used for third gen Trans Ams, so I'm pretty sure there's not enough restriction to worry about.
