This is what wikipedia says about it

4-speed manual
All 4-speed manual transmissions were built at the Muncie, Indiana Allison plant. The 1984 production line saw two transmissions, a performance 4-speed with a final drive ratio of 4.10, and an economy 4-speed with a final drive ratio of 3.32. The V6 on the 1985 model and part of the 1986 production year came with a 4-speed with a final drive ratio of 3.65. The lower-geared 4.10 4-speed transmission showed improved acceleration, but sacrificed fuel economy.

This would say that no, you don't have a 4.10 if your tranny is stock

An 86 GT would likely have a 3.65:1 4-Speed.

The only Fiero that actually got 4.10:1 gear set was the 1984 Fiero SE if you specifically ordered it. You could also get the economy one of 3.32 or something... don't remember exactly.

I had a 1985 Fiero GT 4-Speed that someone had swapped in 4.10:1 gears into. It came from another car because it even had a dipstick tube for the manual transmission also (which was kind of cool).

It was a rocket off the line. When I was just a punk, I remember doing a 6k rpm drop... it ripped off the drive-line absorber and the tires never gained traction... they just sat there smoking until I let up on the gas a little bit and then they caught. (did this without touching the brake)
