for the most part - I would say stick with the stock chip
most chips do nothing but wreck your fuel milage
unless you have a blocked off EGR, and want to shut that off
also - there is www.gmtuners.com - who will make a custom chip, and at a very good price.

Talk to Ryan at Sinister Performance (gmtuners.com). He's the guy to go to.

Ill agree, reprogramed chips do little if anything. I even went farther and got a Superchip Flashpaq ($450) that barely made any noticeable change in another car I had.

The stock chip is fine even with our intakes and headers, thus with your mods it should be good. BTW: the Hypertec chip leans out the A/F a little to compensate for the poor CFM of the stock intakes and will thus will only make mattters worse with your engine setup. This info is from first hand experience with a widebad read outs.

Custom chips are just that, they're custom to your modifications and are the best way to go.

Aftermarket chips that are sold across the board for OBD-1 cars, like the Hypertech or ADS SuperChip... those are crap because they don't know what you've done to your car, and they do very little in terms of any real improvement in any area.

I had a custom chip burned a while back (forget whom with) for my 3.2 / H272 rebuild. I think I only paid $50 with shipping.
