I have a fiero that i beleive to be the fiero that was givin to paul vanderl in biloxi. He used a fiero to develop the SD4 race parts. This car is a flood car from katrina. the vin under the dash speaker is "1G2AF37R2EP200051". IN the engine compartment on the REAR wall is a sticker that is upsidedown. You have to stand behind the car and lean in and look back to read it. It is as follows;

VEHICLE/ENGINE
EMISSION CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
GENERAL MOTORS CORPOATION

THIS VEHICAL OR ENGINE, AS APPLICALE, IS EXEMPT FROM THE PROHIBITIONS OF SECTION 203(A)(1), (3) AND (4) OF THE CLEAN AIR ACT, AS AMENDED, AND FROM CALIFORNIA REQUIREMENTS WHERE APPLICABLE. WHEN AFFIXED THIS LABLE SUPERSEDES ANY OTHER CERTIFICATION LABLE.
PRIOR TO CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP, THIS VEHICAL OR ENGINE MUST MEET APPLICAL MODEL YEAR EMISSION CERTICATION CONDITION, AND THIS LABLE MUST BE REMOVED.

Their is more to it, but you would have to see a picture of it. I am going to have to clean it and glue a corner down before I can get a good picture of it. I will saw it out of the car to save it. the steering rack came off the crossmember the car is so rusty. I am trying to save as much of the plastic parts as i can. the car has 18 thou dyno miles on it. Any thing not rusty is in very good condition.

But is this the 51st fiero? years ago when i moved it for the last owner I saw that it didn't have a rpo sticker in the trunk or any stickers on the door james. Or any sign that it ever had. I am going to try to save the hood, but i can't get it open.

If the VIN number is correct, this website seems to agree with the assumption that this is the 51st Fiero:

Yep, that's an extremely early production car, red or white? Love to see pictures of the car and the sticker, never heard of one of those stickers.

Out of curiosity, any pics of the headlight motors? Are they small, round, and smooth, or larger with parts to grip on to? Dew wipes were supposed to be different on the early cars, too. Mine's # 24,421

If you want any pictures of the car, send me a email so i can send them. I have pictures going back 6 years or so on this car. It was a red one with tan insides. Now this is iterresting, it has SE seats speakers/stripes but the sail panels are plane, no "SE" on them. I just sawed my why in to the hood release and got the hood open. It didn't have any motors left. The car does have the little paint code plate in the front trunk. Thats what that little plate is. My red v8 84 has the plate, it's number 8966. The vanderly car has a "lof" windsheld, not a "PPG" like my red car. "LOF" = libby-owens-ford. I am going to use as much of this car as i can. body parts on the V8 car and interer parts on my 84,85,86 mutt fiero with the 3500 short star. the vanderly car had the pass. side floor mat. I didn't know it was in their because their was so much dried mud on the floor. the mat and the carpet don't have any ware, and looked good after a hose job.
