So I was looking through an archived thread about fuse boxes. I was curious if this diagram pertains to an 86gt fiero?

Or were all the fuse boxes the same in fieros? If not does anyone have a fuse diagram for a 86gt? I tried searching for it, and also looked through the service manual and the haynes manual to no avail.

thanks mike for the speedy reply. i was curious though what could be the problem that im having. i noticed the previous owner had a 25 amp fuse at the fuse marked 11 (Fuse, 20amp battery (RR deck lid, power lock relay, power mirror, trunk light). I took it out and looked at it, it was blown. after seeing that diagram i noticed a 20 amp fuse should be there so i replaced it with a 20 amp fuse, and as i put it in when the metal connectors met they sparked and it blew the fuse immediately. any thoughts on this?

Hard to say, but there is a dead short somewhere in that circuit. Not sure what would be the easiest way to track it down.

haha im glad someone else was amused by that picture as much as i was when i saw it. wire nuts, crimp connectors, and twist and electric tape. when i get time i am going to get a wiring harness for that thing, and mess with that, but thats a whole other issue. but thanks though mike, its not a huge deal about that fuse i was just curious.

Just a quick correction... not all fuse panels were the same: the '84's were laid out differently. Also, the CTSY/LID Fuse provides power to overhead dome/reading lights too.

85-88 is same
84 is different and uses less fuses. Doesn't have INJ 1 & INJ 2.
