Does the series III comes with a FPR? If so where it is mounted? I bought a car with the engine and has some missing parts so I'm not sure about this one. Also can I use a series 2 regulator? Can I use series 2 fuel rail? I have the s3 but just in case I want to go without the returnless. Is the stock FPR ok for a mild moded engine? Sorry for so many questions. TIA

Series III uses a returnless fuel delivery system. The fuel pressure regulator is at the pump. Yes you can go with a Series II fuel system.

OK. But then would that require a special fuel pump? I have a new EP381 to use. Would I need a FPR with that? Thanks

Don't know where it was located, but here's where it is now located. .On the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, it was definitely not located in the fuel tank, but I bought it from auto zone or something like that.

Install it just like a Fiero fuel system,. Tthe fuel pressure regulator fit Into a fuel pressure regulator holder made by PR J and works fine and I think I have the same fuel pump that you have.

Here is what you do..>This will make your swap cleaner.....Take the S3 rails and flip them backwards....some trimming of one of the mounting tabs will be needed but nothing major....Then buy the parts to make your fuel system a returnless setup....There are several pictures on here that show what it looks like and some Threads list parts....You will use the FPR cut out of a S2 rail for a regulator...Setup work well and look better than the S2 rails....

The regulaor on 06 Grand Prix where located in the tank and started that way in 04 when the Gen V came out.....Looks like your setup they used a S2 fuel line setup which used a inlet and a return line....

Ok. Thanks a lot. I have your thread already bookmarked. So I sure will need the S2 fuel rail to cut the FPR mount. My yard has a 95 3800sc. Will that rail work with S2/S3 regulators? I think it may be a series1. Will the non supercharged 3800 individual regulator work too? Maybe I should get a new regulator if it is sold individually. Thanks all again.

All you need is the fuel pressure regulator from the series II rail. Cut that out and plumb it up. It has one gas inlet, one gas outlet, and a vacuum line nipple. Just grab a used rail somewhere and hack it up. You'll also need a T connection.

Thats the way I do them here and it's worked well on my Fiero going on three seasons. I believe Darthfiero was the was the first one to use this setup. Some insist that the fuel gets hotter using this approach and some insist that the fuel stays cooler. I join those who claim that the fuel stays colder as only one fuel line runs up to and over the engine.
