okay question who on here reprograms ECM for a 3800sc swap from Canada ? just Fieroflyer
I have my 88gt with 3800SC swap running I was told the computer has Digital HP on it. is this a different company than HP Tuners? If I have this programming is there a way to tell? with a hand held scanner? or with snap on one? How do you access it ? Little lost here help appreciated

digital tuners is a diffrent programer then hp tuners, AFAIK theres no way to tell whats on the ecu without downloading the bin file and opening it into an editor to see whats been changed... but im sure somoene will chime in with a better more correct answer then mine.

I don't think tou can tell if it was reprogramed with DHP or Hp by a scanner. If orginally reprogrammed with HP I don't think DHP can open it. Why do you want to know? To reprogram you need HP or DHP, the scanner only reads a few parameters like KR and IAT.

I forgot to tell ya, that the pcm you did for me got started and running. I am thinking about getting that guy in Houston to come do it up real good.

HPT can tune a few more OSIDs than DHP supports... You cant read them because DHP doesnt support the file, but you can load an updated OSID on that pcm obviously enough.
