Love the engine in my Subaru. Great engine note, low end torque and rev pretty high. I have a 94 legacy as a winter beater, when my fiero is parked. The engines are very wide. There is a 2wd version. Don't know the year range but I think the last would have been 95. Also not sure it it would actually help the length issue or not.

When the engine gives up in the legacy I can pull it and maybe try to fit it into back of the fiero. I would need another fiero for that though.

Would love to see this done. Wonder how much better the fiero would handle with the engine so low.
