They have Pennzoil Synchromesh in stock at AutoZone.

Is anyone using it?

Is it a good Synchromesh product?

It's what I'm using. No complaints whatsoever.
It actually helped a worn out Getrag, that I used to have, to shift better.

A Chevrolet Parts Manager friend of mine told me that Pennzoil makes the GM Synchromesh. Of course the dealerships sell the GM labeled version at more than twice the price of Pennzoil.

I use it in my car. No issues. Never saw a different brand of Synchromesh, so I just assumed that's what everybody uses.
- Hope I'm right.

Good to hear! I was wondering how it would compare to GM Synchromesh.

AutoZone is closer & has much more hours available to make the purchase than the stealership, and I would imagine Pennzoil would be better priced than one with a GM label on it.

Thanks for the input!

I just put it in my trans but don't have any miles on it yet. It was around $15 a quart as oposed to $20 a quart for Amsoil synchromesh. I went with Pennzoil not so much to save $15, but because I read here that someone's tranny axle seals started leaking after using Amsoil...maybe too slick?

Yes, I've been using it in my Fiero (Getrag 5-spd) for a couple years now. It works great in the Fiero, so I also switched to Synchromesh in the Saturn (MG3 5-spd). Now, the Saturn shifts like butter too.
