Alright, I have a couple of these engines just sitting here. I want to do a V-8 Swap into my Fiero at some point. So here is the question, would it be possible to put a built 5.0 ford motor in a feiro? Or even a 4.6 cobra motor? Main reason why I want to these motors instead of a northstar, or a 350 is because I like the sound that these make compared to the GM motors. Personal preference.

Not sure how easy it would be but anything is possible with enough time and money. Hey, If Engineman can stick a v8 audi in his longitudinally, you can certainly do a 5.0. I love the idea and wanted to do it myself but the 4.9 just seemed so much easier. Is there a FWD tranny from ford with the same bell housing pattern? That would sure speed things up. How long is a 5.0 compared to the SBC or 4.9? Don't forget the crazy aftermarket potential of the 5.0! I say do it!

At one time there was a picture of one on this site. I'm not sure I see the point, except to be different, and that's OK.

There was a 302 Ford in a Fiero on this site. It's since been sold. I'm not sure if the new owner is here or not.
It was running a 4.9 computer. Did okay for what it was, but if a 4.9 computer ran it, I'm betting that a 7730 would run it with much less trouble. (I think a 7730 would run my 4.9 with much less trouble. )

seen one with the 302 up front with a t5 tranns . but got to remember it is a rear engine car that's what make them so good! you mount a ford 9 inch out back and mount the motor up front i am sure you can do it faily quick lol's me i would rather the engine in the back.
