First super nice weather weekend in MN and we went to the drag strip. With the help/advice & discussions from people on this forum, I was able to run my quickest and fastest times ever. 12.15 at 111 mph with a 1.73 60' time. For those of you that drag race their fiero's, you know that there is a particular sense of satisfaction blowing away most late model "fast" cars at the track. Now I just need to pick up another couple of tenths to get into the 11's. Thanks guys!

Nope. I am running E35 at the moment. At the strip I used a 3.0 pulley and richened things up a bit. For daily driving (so as to not blow my motor) I am using a 3.2 pulley, and about 17 degrees timing advance.

Nice, that makes me not regret going with the VS cam... I am wondering how you are running a 3.0 without intercooler, or is it intercooled?

Not intercooled. 3.0 at the track only - keeping coolant temps below 165 degrees and I was running E35. I do not have the right fuel pump yet for E85 and so I have been playing with upping the ethanol content by mixing E10 and E85 to the point where I could have reasonable ignition timing advance without KR. I use a 3.2 pulley for daily driving and E25 for fuel - for now. What I like about the 3800 SC fiero is that I am always messing with it and learning. Have not blown it up yet (fingers crossed).

Man that is a great time! Good luck with getting into the 11's! I am not planning on racing mine, but i will take it out when it's finished to the strip. I am hoping for low 13's with it, but i really have no idea what to expect from it.

Thank you. Yeah- I go to the track not so much to race (although with a sleeper like the fiero it is a blast) but to test mods I have done to make sure I am improving performance. Everyone thinks they feel horsepower when you complete a mod, the track does not lie though. If your MPH does not increase, you have not gained horsepower.
