Ok Im looking to put the lace styled rims on my fiero, but it is hard to come across the right fiero gt wheels. Is it possible to put this adapter on
http://compare.ebay.com/lik...ceItemTypes&var=sbar
and then put the trans am gta wheels on? would these wheels even fit? and what about the backspacing?
any input is much appreciated as I need new tires soon and will need to do this swap now.

They would stick out quite a bit, I don't know the exact offset, But I too had the dream of mounting those 3rd gen TransAm wheels on my 1st fiero they look like a stock Fiero 14" rim on steroids. I tried a set along time ago and as you are aware the hub pattern is different, but it was also obvious to the untrained eye that even in the pattern was correct the rims would stick out at least an 1" probably more with the car back on the ground. so anywhere from 2-3" with that 1" thick adapter in there.

the GTA wheels enen stick out on a 98-02 F body (please do no ask how I know)

They stick out about 1.5" from the quarter and fender lips. And too large of a bolt pattern...

1fast2m4... now that you said it I have to ask .. do tell how you know they even stick out on a 98+ f body

Just to add some actual numbers to what others have said, all of the Firebird wheels had a 5 X 4.75" bolt pattern so none of these wheels will fit your Fiero's 5 X 100 mm bolt pattern without modifying the hubs or getting wheel adapters. To make matters worse, 3rd Gen Firebirds used 15 X 7" wheels with zero offset, while the 16 X 8 wheels had zero offset for the fronts, and +16mm offset for the rears.

If you were able to change the bolt pattern on the Fiero hubs, the wheels would stick out of the fenders by 30 mm (1.25") on either side because of the difference in offset between the Firebird and Fiero wheels. They would stick even more if you used wheel adapters.

I was interested in doing the same thing, and actually saw a CL ad for a Fiero with those rims. It just looked weird. But it would probably look awesome with a wide body kit.
